Background

Matthew Watson joined the department in 2015, after more than 15 years of applied R&D experience at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a multinational industrial gases company based in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  While at Air Products he worked on materials development and scale-up of high-temperature ceramic membrane based oxygen separation processes, oxy-fuel combustion applications for the glass industry, and rapid-cycle pressure swing adsorption separation scale-up and commercialization.  Matthew’s professional profile on LinkedIn can be found here: https://nz.linkedin.com/pub/matthew-watson/0/baa/769

Research Interests

My research interests are in structured catalyst and adsorbent supports, high-temperature materials, new applications for oxy-fuel combustion, and oxygen generation from waste heat.
